Join the IAFC, in partnership with TransCanada, and regulatory agencies as we deliver a 2.5-hour training focused on the importance of hazardous pre-planning, utilizing DOT PHMSA’s “National Pipeline Mapping System” and hear from a County Judge on his personal experience of coping with a pipeline rupture in a populated community. North America depends on more than 2.5 million miles of pipelines to safely and efficiently deliver energy and raw material, so it’s essential that communities and emergency responders are adequately prepared in the event of a hazardous materials incident. While a pipeline incident is very low, the impact could be high on resources required to respond, community residents and the environment.
